Puzzle Pieces

I enjoy putting together puzzles every now and then. My strategy is to find all the edges, separate them, and start with the borders of the puzzle first. Once I have them all connected, then I put together any of the more obvious pieces that connect. I get as far as I can and go pretty fast until all the pieces look the same and it becomes a task of seeking out unique shapes to fit in certain places.

Puzzles can be frustrating and even a slow, agonizing process until the end when, finally, all the pieces start coming together and forming the complete picture. You catch glimpses of what it will look like, but there are many gaps and holes to fill. It is so satisfying to put in the last piece and conquer the puzzle. At last, you can see the whole, beautiful picture!

We are going through a time where all of our puzzle pieces are coming together and we are close to putting all the pieces together on our current puzzle. It’s been a long, slow process, but we can see glimpses of what it will look like. God has granted us wisdom and patience to continue the work required to get there. The work will not be complete until we take the steps to do what has to be done. We depend upon his wisdom to lead us and guide us.

James 1:5 (NLT) - “If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.”
