Does anyone in your life, whether intentionally or otherwise, say things that weigh you down with guilt, shame, or condemnation? This is a common tactic of satan, our archenemy, and would-be destroyer of our souls. He loves to remind us of our past failures.
He often takes the very ones that are closest to us and twists their words or intentions into something that plays with your mind and causes you to hear only negative. You end up wallowing in a self-condemning muck of pity and doubt. Now you’re messing with God’s blessed creation, which is none other than the wonderfully and beautifully made… you!
Thankfully, the Word tells us that we have an intercessor, Christ Jesus, who sits at the right hand of God to plead for us. So, the next time the enemy, or anyone else (including you), brings an accusation against you and tries to condemn you for your past, remind them that Jesus died for you and is interceding on your behalf. There is no condemnation for those who belong to Him!
Romans 8:34 (NLT) - “Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.”
