Is it still called a "bumper sticker" if it is on the back window of a pickup truck? Anyway, on my commute to work this morning, I saw this sticker on a truck that said "Under Construction". I realized that, even though I am 61 years old, that still perfectly describes my life!
No matter how old we are or how much education we have received, we are always building on our past and on the experiences we have had before. Life is a learning process and we will never know it all, even though we all can name a few "know-it-alls"! We are all under construction.
I don't know the intent of the driver's "Under Construction" sticker, but I take it to mean that God is still working on me, so please be patient with me. It is simply an explanation for behavior and should not be an excuse for it.
Two of the keys to good construction are to build on a solid foundation and to use proper materials. The biggest key: Always follow the designs of the Architect!
Luke 6:48 (NLT) - "It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built."
