Making Choices

We face many choices every day, sometimes without realizing it or thinking about it. Some choices are more obvious than others. There are right and wrong choices, some that only effect us, and some that effect others. Some of them are within God’s will and some go against it. That is exactly why we should seek his will in making those choices that we don’t have clarity on. It pleases him when we involve him in our decision-making processes.

When there are two good choices, go with your instincts or even with the one that might please you most. If your heart is right and your desire is to please God, he will honor your choice or put up a roadblock to keep you safe from making the wrong choice.

We have all made those wrong choices, knowing that something was telling you not to, and found that we paid some consequences for that decision. Thankfully, God is merciful and forgiving, and he watches over us. He sets us back on the right path and uses our mistakes to grow us and mature us. Trust in him with all your heart and continually seek his will in making choices.

Proverbs 3:6 (NLT) - “Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
