The End of Another Decade

Did ya’ll see that thing flying by? It’s called time! And where did it go? This past decade has gone by unbelievably fast. Every year, every decade, and every generation has its ups and downs. I choose to look back on all of the positive things and build on those. Even though I lost my mother this decade, I gained three more grandchildren. I almost said four, but then I realized my oldest was born in the previous decade. Talk about a mind-blower!

I retired after 32 years of government service, but I’m still healthy and working. My wife and I have been married for over four decades. We bought a lake house and are preparing to move closer to our children and grandchildren. So much has happened and there are so many other wonderful things I could mention here.

We owe it all to God and we thank him for the many blessings he has bestowed upon us. We can hardly wait to see what he has in store for us in this next decade and beyond. We pray that your new year and new decade are filled with God’s blessings, protection, and provision. Happy New Year!

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NLT) - “Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.”
