Teardrops

I’m not writing this from an unhappy place today. In fact, it’s just the opposite. Although things are topsy-turvy and hectic right now, I’m in a good place and very happy. I have some friends who are going through a very rough patch and maybe that is why God led me to today’s scripture and topic.

I know that the Lord loves us and cares for us beyond what we could possibly believe or imagine. Who else would send their only Son to die for us and pay the penalty for our sins? That is love beyond measure! It delights him to fill our hearts with joy and pour out blessings into our lives. I can picture him smiling as he does so, “Here, my child, this is for you.”

Are you going through a difficult time right now? Maybe you’re being hit with wave after wave of physical attacks. Or maybe the enemy has convinced you that no one else loves you or cares about you and you feel abandoned. Or maybe you know you have stumbled, or even fallen, and failed God and think he won’t forgive you or restore you. In the midst of whatever difficulty you find yourself in, just know that you have a Heavenly Father who loves you and cares for you.

God will never leave you or forsake you. He knows everything about your situation, he knows all your sorrows and fears, and he sees every teardrop that falls. Go to him just as you are and he will lift you up. He will heal you, forgive you, deliver you, and restore you from whatever situation you are in. Be comforted in this verse that I rediscovered today.

Psalms 56:8 (NLT) - “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.”
