I literally need to think cool thoughts tonight. I returned home from an awesome camping vacation with some friends this afternoon. We left the cool, refreshing mountains to get back to the higher temperatures of our home town.
It’s always good to be home in your own clean, comfortable bed , especially after a camping trip. But imagine my surprise and disappointment when I crossed the threshold of my garage door and entered my home and walked into a 91° temperature instead of the 75° that I had set the thermostat at upon my departure. I was not a happy camper… pun intended!
I will remain thankful for the weekend that he blessed me with, in spite of the way that it ended at home. I will use this as a reminder that he is an ever faithful God and this will turn out for the best in the long run.
I am thankful that I have an office space in my home that is cooled separately and I can relive my camping experience by sleeping on my cot in my air-conditioned office! Pray for me that tomorrow I will return to my own bed in my fully air-conditioned home!
Psalm 23:1-3 (MSG) - “GOD, my shepherd! I don’t need a thing. You have bedded me down in lush meadows, you find me quiet pools to drink from. True to your word, you let me catch my breath and send me in the right direction.”
