When you have been standing firm on your faith and trust in God, the feeling you get the moment your faith is confirmed is unmatched by anything else. It is great to live with the conviction that, no matter what the outcome, your faith will never waiver. There are things I have prayed for that I’m still waiting on the answer to, but I have no doubt that God heard my prayers and will give me the answer.
I recently shared a big personal prayer need with some of my closest friends, family, and church leaders. Yesterday, I received confirmation that God answered that prayer in a wonderful way! I am rejoicing and excited that He heard my prayers and those who were praying for me, and gave us the result that we desired.
But what if it had been a different result? Would it change who He is or my belief in Him? It definitely would not change God. I would like to believe that, although my faith would be shaken for a moment, I would stand strong and lean harder on Him. I have done that in other scenarios. That’s why my faith in God is so strong. In this moment, all I can do is praise Him! Oh what a feeling!
1 Peter 1:7 (NLT) - “These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.”
