Remember When

Remember when American citizens took great pride in God and country. We proudly stood at attention, put our hands over our hearts , and either sang along or remained silent for the National Anthem. We started each day in school reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Attending church was common and expected.

Remember when we enjoyed face to face communication and we met people at social gatherings and not on social media. We loved being outdoors and active instead of in front of TVs and video games. We did something because it was the right thing to do, not for personal or political gain.

God calls us to love one another and to serve one another. He tells us to respect those in authority and to pray for them. I believe His hand guided our founding fathers in forming this great nation. There have been so many wonderful innovations and technological advances throughout the years, but I like to remember when things were simpler and easier. Remember when you first gave your heart to Him.

1 Timothy 2:2 (NLT) - “Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.”
