There is so much beauty captured in the reflection of mountains or forests on a lake. Or the reflection of a brilliant sunrise or sunset. So many scenes of God’s majestic beauty have been memorialized by art and photography but nothing is better than seeing it in person.
There is a calm and serenity that engulfs me as I gaze upon these scenes. A reflection is simply a mirror image of the objects seen. If the live image is a thing of beauty you will get a double dose of it! I am blessed to live on a lake and get to enjoy the sights and sounds of life on the lake.
What do you see when you look in the mirror? You may or may not like what you see but I guarantee you that God sees one of His beautiful creations. Your reflection is a mirror image of your physical self. God sees much deeper. He knows you intimately and He desires your presence. Next time you look in the mirror just smile and say, “God loves me!”
