I was talking with a friend the other day whose husband is going through some health issues. As she was sharing the updates on his status with me I could hear in her voice how seriously concerned she is with how he is doing. The doctor gave all the conditions he needed to meet and instructions he needed to follow to restore and maintain a healthy life. All she had to do was convince him to follow the doctor's orders and all he had to do was follow them to be saved.
This reminded me about God's plan of salvation. He really does care about us! He has given us everything we need to know to receive salvation and to live a life in service to him. There are commands to follow and consequences to pay when we do not follow his plan... but the choice is ours to make. We can either listen to God and do what he says or we can ignore him and do it our way. We can choose life or death. As for me, I choose life. God cares for you and he wants you to choose him, but he leaves it up to you.
Matthew 6:30 (NLT) - "And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?"
