Take Ownership

Where do you currently live? Wherever that is, you should take pride and ownership of that place... no matter where it is. We currently live in a place called the Antelope Valley. I don't know why it is called that because, as far as I know, no one has spotted an antelope here for hundreds of years. I suppose I should look that up and share it some time later!

Our church has a ministry called "I Heart AV" that calls for us to love our valley and everyone that lives in it. We take ownership of this place and pray for it daily. The Antelope Valley is one of our mission fields and we make it a priority to bathe it in prayer and minister to our residents in many different ways. Our goal is to reach as many as we can with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and lead them to salvation. We do this through simple acts of love and service. We find a need and try to meet it.

Do the same in your community. Wherever you are, take ownership of your city and share God's love with the people living there. Take a look around you and see them through the eyes of Jesus. People are lost and dying without a Savior. Introduce them to him through your testimony and tell him what he has done for you. It is really that simple. Just tell them your story. Look beyond the surface, see the need, and figure out a way to meet it. Try to do what Jesus would do!

Philippians 4:8 (TPT) - "So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always."
