I have always been a sucker for babies. I love holding them and looking down into their sweet innocent faces and letting them grasp my finger with their tiny hands. I am not ashamed to exchange baby talk with them and I adore it when they try to match expressions with me. These are moments of preciousness.
Babies all too quickly grow into toddlers and children that still need your love and attention. They take in everything around them and react to both positive and negative input. We need to do all we can to show love and affection to them and let them know how special and precious they are.
God loves all of his children, both young and old. You are a child of God and you are precious to him. Jesus tells us that we must have childlike faith and put our full trust in him. That is how a baby looks at you. Let the Father cradle you in his arms of love and be enamored with him. You are so precious to him!
Luke 18:15-17 (NLT) - “One day some parents brought their little children to Jesus so he could touch and bless them. But when the disciples saw this, they scolded the parents for bothering him. Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”
