I often talk about my grandchildren to anyone who will listen… and even to those who may not care to listen. So, I thought today I would brag on my children a bit. When we go visit them, we joke about how we really just come to see the grandchildren, but that is just not true at all. I love my kids.
Obviously, they are not kids at all. Anyone who has offspring knows, they will always be your “kids” no matter how old they are. My girls have grown into beautiful, smart, and wonderful young women and mothers. My son is a handsome, tenderhearted, compassionate, and hard-working young man. To say that I am proud of them is a huge understatement and I cannot begin to express the love and adoration I feel for each of them.
I would gladly lay down my life for any one of them and I feel their hurts and pains whenever they are going through a tough time. I am so proud of all their many accomplishments and the lives they have built for themselves. I love each and every moment that I get to spend with them and I cannot wait until I get to move closer to them.
I cannot fathom how God could love me more than I love them… but he does. And he loves you more than I love my kids as well. There is no greater love than the Father’s love for us. Receive his love and believe in his Son and enjoy eternal life with him!
John 3:36 (NLT) - “And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.”
