Keep on Trusting

The amount of trust we place in God grows and shrinks, depending on our circumstances. It shouldn’t be that way, but it is. When things are going great, it is so easy to put our full trust in him. But when it seems that nothing is going right or the way we think it should be, then our trust wains. We may even blame God for our troubles, which is the opposite of trust. Then, we may not say it, we expect him to earn our trust, just like we do with our kids when they have violated our trust.

God has never broken our trust and he never will. He is not to blame for our troubles and he never lets us down. We always need to look elsewhere for that. Keep looking to him as the way out and trust him to get you through it. He will never leave you or forsake you. You won’t find one single promise in the Bible that says you will never go through trials or tough times, but he does promise to be with you.

Keep on trusting, through it all, and you will overcome whatever comes against you. Nothing can ever separate you from God’s love and no weapon formed against you will prosper. It doesn’t say that no weapon will ever form against you, it says that none will prosper. That means that, through your trust and faith in God, any weapon used against you will be defeated. I’ll say it again so that it sinks in… keep on trusting!

Isaiah 26:4 (NLT) - “Trust in the LORD always, for the LORD GOD is the eternal Rock.”
