We have so much freedom in this great country of ours. But we also have been given a lot of freedom in our walk with God. He gives us the freedom to make our own choice about how we live and to make our own decisions about what we do. He didn’t make us robots that mindlessly go about and do whatever he has programmed us to do. We have the choice to obey or disobey his Word, to accept him or to reject him, or even whether to believe in him or not.
That freedom won’t change what happens with eternity though. Your choices will affect where you spend your eternity! There is so much freedom within a life devoted to Jesus. In fact, if you don’t choose him, you are actually destroying your freedom by enslaving yourself to the enemy. Use your freedom to love him and to serve one another in love.
Galatians 5:13 (NLT) - “For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.”
