Do you think about the second coming of our Lord and Savior? I do! Are you terrified or excited? I think we sometimes forget about that great and awesome day. No one knows the day or hour or minute… or even if it will be in our lifetime. That’s why we put it out of our thoughts so often. But we should be eternity-minded, not only for ourselves, but for the sake of the ones we love and the ones we care about.
Jesus could return before you finish reading this blog or his return may be when your great grandchildren are old and gray. There is no certainty of when that will be, just as there is no certainty of when you will breathe your last breath. The same goes for the ones you love. That is why you should be eternity-minded. If Jesus returns or you take your last breath on this earth, whichever comes first, and you have not accepted him as your Lord and Savior, it is too late for you and anyone else who decided to wait on that decision.
It is God’s will that none would perish, but that all would be saved. Come and join the family of God. What joy there is for those who receive him and know that their eternity will be with him! Lead your family and loved ones to Christ and a relationship with the One who saved your soul. There is nothing in the world more important than this!
1 Thessalonians 5:2 (NLT) - “For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night.”
1 Corinthians 15:52 (NLT) - “It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed.”
