The answer is quite simple… not one bit. He is the same today as he was over 2000 years ago or even yesterday. He will be the same tomorrow and throughout eternity. Well what has changed then? Surely something has changed because nothing stays the same and everything is always different. People change, society changes, and culture changes. But Jesus never changed and he never will.
This is a bedrock principle of our faith. We can always depend on Jesus to be consistent and faithful and unchanging when all else around us is chaos and confusion. New ideas and attempts by society to mold God into its image to fit with changes in morals and current trends may seem attractive, but God’s ways are higher and always true.
God is our true north and any deviation from his course is a compromise. If he said it yesterday, he means it today and it will still be true tomorrow. Follow him and him alone. He will not lead you astray!
