Always walk in the light because all will be fully revealed at the appointed time. All that is hidden in the darkness will be brought to light and judged. So let God shine the light on all your darkness now and remain in the light where nothing is hidden. Do not judge others because God will expose their darkness.
It is tempting to shine the light on others instead of on ourselves. We need to examine our motives and keep our hearts pure so that, instead of hurting others, we are helping them. It’s like the old saying “clean up your own backyard.” I have plenty of my own junk to take care of without pointing out yours!
Lord, shine a light on all of my darkness. Make me clean and pure, set apart for your use so that I may be holy in your sight.
1 Corinthians 4:5 (NLT) - “So resist the temptation to pronounce premature judgment on anything before the appointed time when all will be fully revealed. Instead, wait until the Lord makes his appearance, for he will bring all that is hidden in darkness to light and unveil every secret motive of everyone’s heart. Then, when the whole truth is known, each will receive praise from God.”
