The Bible tells us that when Jesus returns there will be no more sin. Until then, it is a constant battle against our own flesh to deal with it. The Word even says that everyone has sinned and we all fall short of God’s standard. We make it harder on ourselves when we love a particular sin. In other words, you can’t defeat the demons you enjoy playing with!
Recognize sin as sin. Do not compromise or allow sin to remain in your life. Turn away from it and run away, leaving it behind you. Lay it at the cross and let Jesus’ sacrifice cleanse you of it forever. Ask for forgiveness and you will be forgiven. It will be as if you had never sinned. You are set free and made righteous in his eyes. Go and sin no more! Sin has been defeated!
Romans 3:23-24 (NLT) - “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.”
