I’m doing my morning routine and just finished my devotionals and, obviously, writing my blog. I think this would be an awesome time for the Lord to return! I’m setting you up for a hard question we should all ask ourselves when we are involved in a questionable activity. Is this what you want to be doing when Christ comes back?
So, for me, this moment in time wouldn’t be too bad. But I can think of a whole lot of times that would have been , let’s just say, not so good. I honestly have no idea how Jesus will handle that. There are bound to be true, born again Christians in the middle of committing a sin when he returns. I do not want to be one of them. Do you?
The point here is that we should strive to be ready at all times for his return, living our lives in reverence and awe of an awesome and holy God. Live your life in such a way that is pleasing to him. Flee from sin and when you do sin, repent and ask for his forgiveness. Don’t wallow around in it. Falling is an accident. Staying down is a choice. Stay ready for his return!
Matthew 25:13 (NLT) - “So you, too, must keep watch! For you do not know the day or hour of my return.”
