Prescriptions

One of the side effects of getting older and not being in perfect health is having a number of prescriptions to take. Some are for the morning and some are for the evening. I have them for blood pressure, cholesterol, and migraines. The doctor adjusts the meds and dosage as I take the right steps to improve a particular condition.

All of this demonstrates how wonderfully and intricately our bodies were designed by our Creator. Things go a little haywire when we don’t take proper care of them. God gave our bodies an awesome ability to heal itself when it receives proper nourishment and exercise. If you’re like me, then you’re guilty of falling short in one or both of these areas.

We were born into a sinful and depraved world. We are all sinners and in need of a Savior. God has a prescription for that! He sent his Son to save us and redeem us. Just as medicine is no good if you don’t take it, salvation is no good if you don’t receive it!

John 3:16 (NLT) - “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
