Both of my brothers and my father are now on Facebook! I believe the Lord could come back at any minute! It’s the second brother who just got on that’s the real kicker. Of course, his daughter is the catalyst for getting him on, but it’s still a miracle.
My job has required me to stay on top of technology, but it has almost completely passed my dad and him by. It is sometimes entertaining and occasionally frustrating to see them in their attempts to keep up.
The only one that truly affected me personally was my mother because she actually attempted to be technically savvy but couldn’t be no matter how hard she tried. But she did try, resulting in many cringeworthy phone calls to yours truly. I miss her dearly, but not those phone calls!
I only bust their chops because it’s my strong suit and I love it that they are part of social media now so we can share photos and stories from afar on our separate adventures. Family is best face-to-face and Facebook can never replace that, but it’s great for entertainment value. And I will always be thankful for this latest miracle!
