In the silence of these days, away from the usual hustle and bustle of the freeways and crowded streets, what are you hearing? For me, God’s voice is louder and clearer in my spiritual ears. I’m more in tune to Him without the distractions the world threw at me before the pandemic. The quiet was, at first, a wonderful thing, before it morphed into a surreal and sometimes scary reality. This uncharted territory has left us a little perplexed, confused, and a bit out of sorts with our current situation.
Like we always do, we adapt and overcome. We do more than just survive… we thrive. The silence draws us closer to God because, in it, His voice breaks through and speaks comfort to His children. Listen for His voice if worry or fear begin to rise up inside you. Cast all your cares on Him and He will comfort you. This is a time when many are realizing their need for God. He is waiting with open arms.
We have all been witnesses to the fact that everything can change in an instant. The one constant thing that we can count on is that God never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. When you give your heart to Him, you don’t have to be worried or anxious about anything. Be still, be silent, and know that He is God!
Psalms 46:10 (NLT) - “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.
