Today was my grandson’s ninth birthday. To say that I am proud of him and love him so much would be a huge understatement. My heart aches to be with him and spend time with him. I hope this was the last birthday that I miss.
I pray for him daily, as I do for all my grandchildren. He has a tender heart, a sharp mind, and so many gifts and talents. I see him accomplishing great things as he turns his dreams into reality.
God delights in us in the same way that I delight in my grandson. He sees all the good within us and encourages us to use our gifts to the best of our abilities. He loves us and desires to spend more time with us. He never wants to miss a day of fellowship with his children!
Psalms 37:4 (NLT) - “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.”
