Beyond Excited

We decided at the last minute to finish filling up our trailer and take a load to Arkansas. That means we’ll get to see some of our grandkids! I am truly beyond excited! And of course we’ll see my son, one of my daughters, my dad, and some of my friends and other family members.

It’s been a long, exhausting day of packing and road trip preparations and we probably won’t get much sleep tonight, thinking about the trip and worrying about what we might have forgotten to pack. You’d think with all of our years of experience in traveling, we could almost just hop in the truck and go, but we still overthink it every time and seem to forget something.

In spite of that, we manage to make it just fine and never forget anything critical. None of that takes away the excitement of the trip though. We’re ready for the moment we pull out of the driveway tomorrow morning and head down the road. The trip will be two long days, but our grandkids will be waiting on the other end!

Psalms 5:11 (NLT) - “But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy.”
