We pushed through our exhaustion and made it home after catching a few restless winks of sleep last night. Why is it that, although the second day was shorter, it felt twice as long? The last 50 miles seemed like 500! But we made it.
We emptied the truck and trailer, put away our belongings, ran to the grocery store to pick up some essential supplies, and came back home. After a quick shower, we are done! It’s time for a long, peaceful night’s sleep and much needed rest.
We’ll be back to our routines tomorrow. We have so much to catch up on, but this trip was worth all the sacrifice of time, money, and energy. We were so blessed to spend time with our children, grandchildren, family, and friends. We even managed to accomplish a lot with our lake house and enjoy it with our family. Thank you, Lord, for everything!
2 Thessalonians 1:3 (NLT) - “Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing.”
