Home Office Organization

I must say that my home office is getting more organized by the day. Since I’m “forced” to work from home and I spend a lot of hours in it, I have a lot of time to work on digitizing a lot of my old paper files and shred a lot of junk that has taken up space for years. It’s beginning to look a little better. There is still a lot of clutter as I go through the process, but I think by the end of the semi-quarantine period, it should be a well-organized space.

This is also a great chance to declutter our lives and think about the junk that doesn’t matter as much as we thought it did. Family and people mean so much more than “things” do. Our attitude toward community and fellowship has changed as well. We see how much value we place on being with others and making sure that their needs are met. We have witnessed a lot of people helping people.

God certainly didn’t cause the COVID-19 crisis, but he certainly will use it for His good. I believe it has awakened the church to love and care and minister to people, not just within the church, but beyond the walls of the church. There are so many lost and afraid out there, especially during this time, that need love, help, assurance, and encouragement. Be a shining light in this dark world and share God’s love, joy, and peace to all around you. It’s quite contagious!

1 Thessalonians 3:9 (NLT) - “But we don’t need to write to you about the importance of loving each other, for God himself has taught you to love one another.”
