I always enjoy spending time with my brothers-in-law when they come out to visit. Technically we are each married to three sisters and we are their brothers-in-law. At least I think that’s how it works. But collectively we are the brothers-in-law.
That’s the perfect title for a great novel or movie… The Brothers-in-Law! I’m not sure anyone would read or watch it because we probably aren’t entertaining to anyone beyond ourselves (insert LOL here). The point is that we have a great time and love being together. We have totally different personalities and quirks but I believe that’s what makes our relationships work.
Relationships are important but they take work. The most important one we must maintain is our relationship with God. It takes a lot of work on my part because I am so easily distracted. Some days I have to force myself to take the time to “knock out” my devotion and prayer time. My relationship is deeper when I seek out and desire a closer walk with him. My alone time with him is so much sweeter and productive. He is so awesome!
Romans 12:10 (NLT) - “Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.”
