My wife is still is recuperating from her hip injury. I do not have the energy reserves to do the things she normally does when she is healthy. My instincts to protect her, care for her, and hover over her kick in at times like this. But I sure wish she could loan me the strength and stamina she surely possesses to do all that she accomplishes on a daily basis.
I truly appreciate all that she does and how much work it is. I have only been covering a small portion of her normal routines and I am totally exhausted when adding her routines to mine. Anytime someone asks me if my wife works for a living I reply emphatically, “YES!”
The Word tells us to love our wives even as much as our own bodies. In doing that we are actually showing love for ourselves. They are worthy of our love, honor, and respect. We made that promise to them when we said “I do”. Now let’s go and do it!
