Today I made a conscious choice to stay at the lodge and enjoy some alone time with God. It is a wonderful time to slow down and reflect on everything that has been happening at lightning pace around me. I’m taking on the beauty of the surrounding mountains and changing colors of the trees. I am continually in awe of his glory and grace as I admire his creation.
God reminds me that I am his creation and he made me to be exactly who I am. Every perfection, every flaw, and every gift that I either possess or do not possess was for a purpose. Some things about me I understand and some things I do not understand. But I am at peace with that.
There is nothing greater or more satisfying than my relationship with the God of all peace, who created me and who cares for me. He saved me and he has a plan for my life that is far greater than any plan that I could ever dream. I will continue to pursue my hopes and dreams, but I am prepared to alter them if and when he changes them.
Spend your time and energy on pursuing God. Don’t worry or fret, because he knows the plans that he has for you. His ways are higher and his ways are better. He will guide you and protect you if you will just let him. Trust in him and he will never let you down!
Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT) - “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
