I am a big Dodgers fan and my team is going to the World Series for the second year in a row. They came up short last year and they are facing an awesome Red Sox team this year. The last time they won the series was in 1988. That was a long time ago!
I remember the excitement I felt back then. I remember when my Arkansas Razorbacks won the National Championship in basketball… and when my Dallas Cowboys won the Super Bowl each time… and when my Lakers won the championship each time. All of those were a long time ago as well! But the thrill of those victories were each tremendous! And short lived.
They were certainly short lived in comparison to the constant, continual, and eternal victory we have in Christ Jesus! He is the forever Champion and will never be defeated. Celebrate him today and every day. There is nothing more exciting than to give him praise and thank him for all that he has done for me. Join me today by going to your local church and celebrating his victory on the cross and by living your life for him. God bless you on this day that he made!
Psalms 118:24 (NLT) - “This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.”
