Today is definitely a Monday! I’m exhausted and extremely busy, but I have to keep pushing forward. I have no idea what I am even supposed to write about in my blog, so I will just say how my day is going. It is so busy that I have not been able to devote deep thought to what I should share with you.
Time marches on whether we are prepared for it or not. Sometimes you have to just put your brain on autopilot and let the day carry you forward. I rest in the assurance that God is carrying me beneath his wings and guiding me safely as I carry out my duties and responsibilities at work.
It’s one of those days when I know what has to get done and I just do it. All of my training, education, and experience just kicks in and, thankfully, I don’t have to put much thought into it. If I had to stop and think, I believe that I would lose focus and bog down into a sleepy, foggy haze.
I want my life with Christ to be so automatic that I can do everything right without having to think about it. When life is busy and I don’t have time to sit and think, I should be able to push forward and react to situations the way Jesus would. My actions should always reflect results that are Christ-like and kingdom-minded.
My spiritual training should kick in and my natural instincts should be to turn away from sin and run to God. Sin should not be able to overtake me and I should be able to endure any trial that I face with confidence that the Lord is with me. Let the peace of God always rule and reign in my life… and yours!
Hebrews 12:1 (NLT) - “Therefore since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.”
