Did you ever want to be a superhero as a kid? When I was little, Superman was my favorite one. I always thought he was cool and his character stood for everything that was good. He always caught the bad guy and won. Well, you can be a superhero today!
How can you be a superhero? I suppose that would depend upon your definition of what a superhero is. In my mind, it would be someone that overcomes, or defeats, the bad guys. A better way to put it might be, someone who conquers evil. There are certainly lots of evil things in this world that need to be conquered, such as anger, hatred, violence, and many other sins prevalent today.
Evil may be defeated by its opposite. Defeat evil with good. Overcome hate with love. That is how you become a superhero today. Look for opportunities to defeat evil as you go about your daily routine. If you are upset with someone, resolve the matter and forgive them instead of holding on to the anger and letting it fester inside. Be a restorer of relationships instead of a divider. Win your enemies over with kindness and let God be the avenger, not you. Be a superhero!
Romans 12:21 (TPT) - “Never let evil defeat you, but defeat evil with good.”
