Family Matters

There is something special about the bond of family that nothing else supersedes. Our children all scattered away from the “nest” and, with them, their children. We miss them more than we could have ever imagined. Fortunately, they are all located within about six or seven hours of each other and we are in the process of making things happen so that we will soon join them.

Additionally, for me at least, it is a return to my roots and my side of the family. There is such a huge tug on my heart to get back there for so many reasons. I am taking great care to ensure that we are making the move for all of the right reasons and trying my best to leave emotions out of it and, so far, I am feeling a solid green from the Lord that our motives are pure and that we are within his will for our lives.

While money and other things come into play, it is family that matters most to us. My only wish is that all three of my children were in one spot, but I will settle for all being within a day’s drive of each other! My father, my brothers and their families, and some close friends are there… but most importantly, I have the love and support of my beautiful wife that I get to spend the rest of my life in retirement with!

Lord, thank you for this beautiful family you have blessed me with!
