Give Thanks

We should give thanks daily for everything we have, but I am so glad that, as a nation, we take a day out of the year to declare “Thanksgiving Day” as a time to pause and celebrate the things we are thankful for. It is much easier, of course, to focus on what we lack or don’t have than on what we do have.

Pain and hunger hurt and they are real. There are many out there who have little or nothing, yet I have heard testimonies from those very ones that are mighty and powerful. Coming from a place of lack and humility, thanking God for what little they have and choosing joy instead, rising up from despair, and overcoming what the enemy planned against them. Never forgetting where they came from, these are ones that have much to be thankful for. We all do!

Let’s always remember ones who have less than us today and be thankful for what we have, whether much or little. Be thankful for family and never take a single member for granted. Spend all the precious time you can with them and always tell them you love them.

I love my wife, children, and grandchildren more than words could possibly express! I am thankful for all of you that read my daily blog and I pray that you find encouragement and hope in my ramblings. I love you all!

Most important of all, tell God how much you love him and how thankful you are to him for sending his Son into this world to save you from your sins. Thank him for the wonderful meal that you will be feasting upon today. Happy Thanksgiving ya’ll!

Psalms 100:4 (NLT) - “Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name.”

Happy Together
