That is always the hardest part of a trip… getting ready for it. There is so much hustle and bustle and stress in making sure you have everything you need and want to take. And of course, you always take more than you intended and inadvertently leave behind something you meant to take!
The easiest and best part of the trip is being there. The joy of the arrival and the greetings from family and friends. The excitement and hilarity of hanging out with loved ones outweighs sleeping in an unfamiliar bed and being away from home. The love, hugs, and laughter shared together is such a heart-warming time and each day passes by way too fast.
So, don’t let your preparations for the holidays steal your joy, whether you are hosting or traveling. Instead, let the joy of anticipation be the overriding emotion as you look forward to the event. Enjoy family and friends and be blessed beyond belief this season. Keep God at the forefront of everything!
