Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin

That's a very "churchy" thing to say, and it really should be our attitude, but I don't believe we live up to that high standard. In reality, it's hard not to hate the sinner right along with their sin. Especially, their sin! You know... whatever it is that they are doing that I'm not.

Admittedly, I'm a sinner in constant need of God's forgiveness, grace, and mercy... and so are you! Thank God, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins! Unfortunately we end up hating each other because we can't even decide what counts as sin. We decide for ourselves what is or is not a sin.

It seems that sin is a moving target, controlled by the whims of society. Today's sin is tomorrow's norm. I'll be tolerant of you if you'll be tolerant of me, just as long as you're not stepping on my toes.

Come on America, we need a reset on our moral compass and take the log out of our own eye before we help our brother take the speck out of his eye. Don't forget to love one another!
