If you are a parent, then you remember all the milestones in the lives of your children. Of course, you'll never forget the day they were born and you looked down at your precious child with such pride and joy at this little creation of yours.
You remember their first step and their first fall... their first day of school and their last. You remember their first date and their first breakup. You remember when they turned ten (double digits!) and when they turned 16... and then 18... 21! The next thing you know, they're married and having kids.
You responded to every cry, hurt when they hurt, laughed when they laughed, picked them up when they fell, celebrated their victories, and walked with them through their hard times. You disciplined them because you loved them... but you loved them without fail.
Isn't it great that we have a heavenly Father that feels that way about us?
John 3:16-17 (NIV) - "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him."
