Does it sometimes seem like wave upon wave of attacks against you in one form or another happens? I know we have been bombarded by a series of things in the last few weeks and it feels like a never-ending battle. I have family members and friends who are going through the same thing.
I have found that times such as this most often happen just before my biggest breakthroughs. The enemy would leave me alone if all was going according to his plan, so he launches an all-out assault to distract me or destroy God's plan for me. I have to keep my eyes on the prize and press on toward the goal. We are fighting a defeated enemy. The battle is the Lord's and he holds the victory!
Ephesians 6:12 (NLT) - "For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places."
2 Chronicles 20:15 (NLT) - He said, "Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat! This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don't be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God's."
