Attitude of Gratitude

Things don’t always go exactly the way we have planned. Sometimes our best laid plans even turn out disastrous. I have lost jobs and even a career that I thought would sustain me until retirement. It was hard, but through the midst of it, I knew that God was with me and I praised him for all that job had provided for my family and me. I trusted him for the next job to come, even though it wasn’t in view yet.

Keeping an attitude of praise and thanksgiving, even when circumstances are not favorable, shows God that you are putting your trust in him and not allowing your trials and tribulations to diminish your faith. He will take what the enemy meant for evil and turn it into good. In my case, my second career was even better than my first!

I believe there is power in our praise. The Bible is filled with scriptures on praise. There are numerous examples of God’s people sending up praises before battle and coming out victorious. He inhabits the praises of his people. Give thanks to him in all things and in all situations. Keep an attitude of gratitude!

Psalms 103:22 (NLT) - “Praise the LORD, everything he has created, everything in all his kingdom. Let all that I am praise the LORD.”
