Geographical Bachelor

Here I go again! My wife is off to visit kids and grandkids without me and I am here to fend for myself. I am officially a geographical bachelor... again (insert deep sigh here). I suppose the nice thing about this is that I always learn to appreciate her even more than I already do. I don't think that I ever take her for granted and all that she does.

She has been incredibly busy in the weeks before this trip in handling the details of getting our rental home ready for sale while I commute and work in Los Angeles on my full-time job. Taking care of me is exhausting enough for her, but add the extra hard work required for selling a house on top of that and it makes for a very tired wife! She definitely deserves the break (even though, technically, she is going on this trip to babysit so our daughter can go on a vacation with her husband).

Meanwhile back at the farm... I will be picking up her slack in managing the details of prepping the rental house for sale and continuing my work schedule. I also get to forage for my own food! This is always interesting, but so far I have never starved. Feel free to pray for me in her absence.

Why, Lord?!
