One of the things women usually accuse men of is that we never use the owner's manual when we put stuff together. I admit that I have been guilty as charged. I have had a few disasters in my day that came as a result of failing to read the instructions!
One of many examples comes from building model airplanes or ships. I had a whole fleet of them when I was a kid. My family has the scars on the bottoms of their feet to prove it after stepping on plastic parts that I left laying all over the floor during the assembly process.
I remember on more that one occasion, after gluing several pieces together and noticing that something was not right, picking up the instructions and reading that all important warning note, "IMPORTANT: make sure that you have glued parts 7 through 10 together before you glue parts 5 and 6 together". Of course I read that after I had already glued parts 5 and 6 together!
God has an owner's manual for our lives, too. How often do you refer to it? That should be the first thing you read every day. It will help you avoid mistakes and plan for disaster!
