Have you ever thought about all the warning signs that you see on the roads and highways? They are everywhere you look and their purpose is to give you a heads-up on what to expect down the road or around the corner. Warning signs are designed to keep you safe and out of danger, potentially saving your life!
Think about different ones you see everyday. Speed limit signs are the most common and they are usually set at what is considered to be the safest speed for that section of highway. A curve sign warns you about which direction the road turns and also the safest maximum speed for that turn. A stop sign tells you that you have to stop so you can avoid getting hit by cross traffic.
You can choose to obey the warning signs and be safe or you can choose to ignore them and put yourself in danger. You also place yourself in a position to be detained by the authorities for not following the traffic laws. You could easily find yourself standing before a judge.
The Bible is filled with warning signs as well. God has given us his Word to teach us how to live and avoid dangerous pitfalls that will place us in danger. Heed his Word and obey his commands and live a fulfilling life that will result in eternal life with him!
