Do you ever sit around with friends and hearken back to the “good ol’ days”? Sure, we all start conversations with, “I remember when…” And then we tell some story about when we were younger, with a glint in our eyes, and laugh about how much fun we had and how life was so much simpler “back then”.
I believe that every day is somebody’s “good ol’ day” and it can be yours too. We can all think of examples where we believe our lives were perhaps better during a particular era that we loved more than the one we are living in now. There are certainly good and bad things in each decade. You can find great things about pre-technology days, but there were a whole lot of things you can name that were as bad or even worse about those days. You can also list about as many bad things about technology as you can good things.
My point is that I see young children today laughing and having a great time, just as I did when I was a child. Each generation has its issues to deal with, but we all have wonderful memories to look back upon. Today’s generation will most likely hearken back to today as the “good ol’ days” and their children will roll their eyes and listen to story after story of those days.
