Valentine’s Day was four days ago. You have had a weekend since that special day filled with love, hearts, flowers, and maybe even chocolates! Is she still your Valentine? Do you still treat her like she is? Or is that just the one day when you give the extra effort to make her feel special. Okay, maybe you also give her your anniversary as an added bonus.
A true, deep, abiding love should be special each day of the year. It does not hurt to make the extra effort on Valentines Day and your anniversary, but do not withhold your love from your spouse the other 363 days of the year. This goes for husbands and wives because relationships are built over time, not in a day or two. They are strengthened by working on them daily and intentionally.
Don’t be afraid to overuse “I love you!”
Ephesians 5:25 (NLT) - “For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her…”
