I don’t know about your pastor, but mine always brings a powerful, life-changing word from the Lord when he preaches every Sunday! I hope yours does, too. If so, you should be listening and paying close attention to that word because it is Holy Spirit inspired and meant to call you to action. You should take note of what is said and apply it in your life throughout the week. In other words, do what God says through his Word!
That goes for your daily devotions as well. You do have personal daily devotions, right?! How else will you hear directly from God if you don’t spend time alone with him? You should make praying and reading your Bible each day a priority in your life. In those moments, be still and listen to his voice and do what he says!
James 1:22 (NLT) - “But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.”
