Crimes are so often committed under the cover of darkness where men can do their evil deeds unseen. Why do they want to be in hiding? Because they know that their crimes are wrong. They’re hiding from the law and from the people they are robbing and stealing from. Those who do right walk freely in the light, without fear of discovery.
When you have nothing to hide, you have no reason to hide in the darkness. Step into the light and let Jesus expose your evil deeds, so you may ask for his forgiveness and walk unashamed in the light of his love.
Jesus is called “The Light” and he came down from heaven to shine a light into this dark world. Those who do right come to the light gladly, but some love the darkness more than the light because their actions are evil. Jesus calls us to be a light in this dark world and to let our light shine before men. Step into the light and be a light!
John 3:20 (NLT) - “All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed.”
