Have you ever spent time with someone who actually lures you away from the right path? You know that what they are doing is wrong and yet you go with them anyway because it sounds like fun. Or maybe you go along because of peer pressure. A lot of those temptations are inevitable in our lives and we are all guilty of giving in to them from time to time. Do not be the one that draws others away from the path of righteousness!
Jesus warns us that there are serious consequences if we are the one drawing others into sin and away from right standing with God. We are called to draw all people to him, not away from him. Don’t lead others into temptation or put yourself in a position to yield to temptation. God will always show you a way out of any temptation. Flee from them and don’t be lured away!
Matthew 18:7 (TPT) - “Misery will come to the one who lures people away into sin. Troubles and obstacles to your faith are inevitable, but great devastation will come to the one guilty of causing others to leave the path of righteousness!”
