Inspiration

Who inspires you? One definition of inspire is to fill (someone) with the urge or ability to do or feel something, especially to do something creative. I have a lot of people in my life who inspire me. My wife is my biggest inspiration. My pastor inspires me, as well as several of my friends. We probably all have someone in our life that has provided us with the inspiration to do what we do or to inspire us to want to achieve something beyond what we are doing now.

Chances are that you are an inspiration to someone else. If you are a parent or an aunt or uncle, you probably have a younger someone looking up to you, whether you feel deserving of that admiration or not. That should, in turn, inspire you to be on your best behavior. Don’t let that stress you out, though. Use it in a positive way and set a good example.

As a Christian, that is called being a good witness for Christ, or being a living testimony. Let your light shine. Don’t hide it under a basket. Follow the example of Christ, the biggest inspiration of all!

Matthew 5:16 (TPT) - “So don’t hide your light! Let it shine brightly before others, so that the commendable things you do will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven.”
